This started as stuff Evie has said that I've remembered to write down. If only I had started sooner. I've missed things like "I almost agot", "Mmmmm, goot", "Farshfellows are yummy, yummy, yummy", "All the people", "Hubba, Hubba, Hubba", "Baa Baa Boo", "Cowabunga, Dude!", "A Lion Guard Bliund Bag", "I do it", "Oh, yaaaah", "I'm a Haidband Haid", "Dey Cazzy". As of 2017, we've added stuff Andy says, too. I sometimes forget to post it before I've forgotten what they said or did so this is by no means all the funny things that have happened. And you also don't get to see the looks on their faces, the tone of voice they used or the hand gestures that go along with it. I wish I'd had something like this for my kids!

Andy watches a show called Peg + Cat which is all about math. Whenever she needs to solve a math problem she shouts “We’ve got a big problem!” This morning, Andy was eating his breakfast of Nutella on toast. I came out and commented on the mess that was his hands to which he replied
“I’ve got a big chocolate problem!”
Yesterday I washed some potatoes and let Andy look and touch them explaining that they were for my lunch and I needed to cut them up and cook them. Today when I came out of my room he ran over and asked “Did you cut up all the potatoes?”
Walking back to the car after dropping off Evie at school. Me and Andy were chatting away about the weather. How cold it was, how the trees were blowing. He reaches up and as he’s brushing his hair back says “My hair is windy, too!”
Dad tells this story:
While doing the nightly before bed routine, Andy and Mama were reading a firetruck book I got for him. After reading and milk, Dad usually puts him to bed. When he was done reading, he took the book to Dad to show him. Dad pronounced it cool and told him to give the book back to Mama and say goodnight. He walked back over to Mama and hugged the book to say good night before giving it back to her.
Andy and I were talking about how many toys he had out in front of him. I put up two fingers to show that he had two. He looked down at his hand, began to move his fingers around, used his other had to try and help and with some frustration looked at me, held his fingers up to show me and said “Too many!”
This was probably one of those you had to be there stories but trust me, it was really hilarious.
Dad tells this story:
Andy was watching Super Why. The letter M came up and he said ‘It’s a M.’ He then turned his head upside down and said ‘It’s a W.”
Smart kid.
Dad – “Do you want to have breakfast?”
Andy – “Good idea, Dad!”
Whenever I come out of my room – “Itssa Nana!”
Whenever he sees me walk by – “Cuzzles, Nana!”
Once I’ve given him his cuddles – “With you, Nana!” (cuz he wants me to get into the play pen with him.
Whenever someone sneezes or coughs or something – “Are you ok, ‘insert name here’?”
And if he trips or stumbles or steps on a toy – “I ok, ‘insert name here’.”
Evie started 2nd grade and Andy’s 2.
Note to time: STOP IT!
