Evie has this thing where every holiday where we sit down and eat together, she wants us to go around the table and say what we’re thankful for.  This Christmas we started with Mom then Dad who talked about how they were thankful we could all be together and stuff.  For my turn, I said how I was thankful for Mama’s salads because, seriously, she makes the best salads! When it was Evie’s turn, without hesitation or any time to think about it like we all did, she says:

“I’m thankful for my brother!”

Evie – “Dundundun..dundundundun…dun dun dun, da da”

Mom Mom and I at the same time “Wait a minute!  Isn’t that Smoke on the Water?”

Where did she get THAT from?

Evie – “My Auntie is like my biggest BFF of all time! Last time she was here she shared her keyboard with me.”

Evie and I go out and look at the moon every night before brushing her teeth.  We were talking about how interesting it was to watch it move across the sky thru the month.  I brought up how it started out on one side and then used to hide behind the house but now it doesn’t hide anymore.  Her comment:

“Maybe it was just nervous?!?”
