We were talking about looking for an episode Evie wanted to watch on YouTube. She started seriously cracking up over the fact that we would ‘search’ for The Great Swamp Search!

Unnatural Detangler
I was combing Evie’s hair today. It’s getting really long and therefore, can hurt a little. I told her I needed to get her one of those special brushes. She says:
“You mean one of those unnatural detangling brushes? They tangle the snarls out!”
Hold That Thought
Nana – “Are you ready to get cleaned up?”
Evie – “Hold that thought. I need to finish my milk.”
Obey The Rules
Having a discussion about when Evie goes to school. Got to the part about how she will have to obey the rules. Her response:
“Yeah, that’s the tricky part!”
Kisses
Mom and Dad were tucking Evie into bed. As they’re walking out, they give each other a little kiss and hear:
“Is that necessary!?!”
You’re The Best!
After putting some Chapstick on her lips, she gave me a hug and said:
“Nana, you’re the best.”
I said “Oh, really! How come?” She said:
“Because you take care of me!”
I was gonna ask her if her little finger felt weird with me all wrapped around it like that!
Spelling
Nana – “Your feet are dirty!”
Evie – “Yeah, I didn’t take a B-A-T-H today!”
Color Change
We were playing outside with a bucket of water. I saw Evie try to climb into the bucket and stopped her. A couple of minutes later she was trying to dunk her head in. I said not to dunk her head in, either. She said she was trying to just get her hair wet to “see if it would color change”.
National Sea-ographic
Pretend butterflies came to visit today. A pretend picture was taken. According to Evie, it will be sent to National Sea-ographic.
You Or Me?
Evie – “Nana, was that you or me?”
Nana – “What do you mean?”
Evie – “Well, I think I smell a stunk!”
