The Moon

Evie and I go out and look at the moon every night before brushing her teeth.  We were talking about how interesting it was to watch it move across the sky thru the month.  I brought up how it started out on one side and then used to hide behind the house but now it doesn’t hide anymore.  Her comment:

“Maybe it was just nervous?!?”

Music

For Cuddle Time we’re watching a new video with a new song.  Evie has proclaimed it her new favorite and told me it stays in her brain all day and all night.  When I said that’s one of the good things about music, you can rehear it in your head, she said:

Evie – “I don’t like it when that happens.”

Nana – “Oh, no.  Why not?”

Evie – “Because then my brain sings it to my mouth and what if my mouth needs to be zip?”

Cuddle Time

Last night Evie asked if it was Cuddle Time, I said yes, she crawled up into my lap, I started the show we usually watch and she immediately asked me to pause it.  She ran off and came back with her bean bag chair and put it beside my chair.  The following conversation took place:

Nana – “Hey, what are you doing?”

Evie – “I wanted a different spot.”

Nana – “Well, the term Cuddle Time implies we were gonna cuddle!?!”

Evie – “Well, we are still together and Cuddle Time is really about being together.”

How can you argue with that?  We held hands for the rest of Cuddle Time.
