We were watching one of those shows that ask the contestants trick questions like what state are the survivors buried in. There was one question about which ‘rapper’ had the most wrinkles. Andy was the only one out of 4 contestants and both me and Evie who notice that the pictures were of several wrappers with a ‘w’ but only one rapper with an ‘r’. The fact that he knew the difference in spelling was pretty good but he also got the ‘trick’. Good one, Andy!
People say
I had Andy help me wrap a present. He was writing on it and the marker quit working. I gave him another and it didn’t work, either. So I gave him another. With the absolute proper inflection and all he said “People say, third time’s the charm!”
Look Alikes
I had a conversation this morning with Andy regarding a set of twins at his school. It ended like this:
Nana – “But look at their faces. Don’t they look alike in their faces?”
Andy – “Yeah. But they didn’t get a like on Instagram. Get it?”
I Shoulda Knocked First
Andy – “Hey, Nana. Can we come in and hang out? Altho, we already did the come in part?”
Andy came up with the title of this post, too.
Smarty Pants
Yesterday, I tripped over my mouth and called Evie Eleven. Today, for fun, I called her that again. She said “Ok, BaNana!”
Olden days
I got a new shower curtain.
Andy-“Wow, it very much has an olden days vibe!”
Expectations
Buckling Andy into his car seat this morning and gave him one of those big, noisy kisses on his forehead. He grinned like a lunatic and then said “I was so not expecting that!”
Fashion
I asked Andy about this drawing and he said they’re bubble guppies as people. That’s a show he watches. I told him the clothes were fantastic and asked if they were from the show or did he make them up. He said he made them up cuz he’s ‘totally a fashion designer’.
Bed Head
Came out to find Andy at the bathroom sink washing up. He just got up and had bed head. He’s looking in the mirror and he says –
‘Look, Nana. I look like a very extinguished gentleman!’
Battle of the Books
Evie’s team came in 2nd in the Battle of the Books. 12 books, 3 battles with 8 teams. Good Job!!!
