Evie – “Do you mind if I have a drink of your water?”.
I Forgot
Evie asked me to help her put her name into a game she was playing. I showed her how to type it in, spelling as I go. A few minutes later she’s changed her mind on which character she chose and asks if I’ll help type it in again cuz:
“I forgot. That’s why everyone calls me Dory!”

Dad – “You hafta stop downloading stuff on here! You don’t need any more games!!”

Dinner’s Ready
Evie – “Nana, your dinner is ready!”
Nana – “Oh, did it beep? I didn’t hear it. Thanks for telling me.”
Evie – “I always was a good teller!”
It’s A Kitchen
Evie – “I called it a kitchen cuz it had a cuvard.”
Evie Told Me She Saw A Chicken In The Freezer
I assumed a picture of one on like a bottle of Egg Nog or something.
Inventors
Nana – “That table was always falling down.”
Evie – “Why?”
Nana – “I guess it just wasn’t made very well.”
Evie – “Yeah, some inventors just don’t invent so well.”
Enough With The Purple Pickles
When I ask Evie what she wants for lunch, sometimes I’ll tease with suggestions like Purple Pickles or Pink Potatoes. Today I asked her what she wanted and before I could say anything she said:
“Nana, I’m off of your silly food menu!”
Short-Term Memory Loss
Evie – “Sometimes I don’t have very good remembering. I have short-term memory loss!”
